Heading down to Liverpool Bar on a regular Saturday night, you would expect a few people hanging around the place to get in and grab a drink or two. Fortunately this particular night was not the case.
The heavy weight indie/post rock/screamo trio, No Real Pioneers, accompanied by rock titans, Sraigės Efektas, stormed the venue so hard, that the unfortunate ones were left outside to spectate while the stage was being ripped to shreds.
All this was for a fair reason…
On January 13, NRP revealed their first official music video for the track ‘Clouds Below’. The track featured on their 4-song EP, ‘Renounce’, which was released in October 2015.
The music video was directed by Pijus Vėberis, and written by him and Justė Urbonavičiūtė.
During the release of ‘Renounce’, NRP also introduced a new visual aesthetic to represent their sound, and it is reflected in the music video through a modern representation of the 1950’s fashion and design trends, combined with cutout styled graphics, which are mixed into a surreal mashup of structured chaos.
Is it eye catching? Yes. Is it stylish? F*ck yes. Do you want to watch it over and over? YES.
Go ahead and check out the aesthetic mess yourself in the link HERE, and while you’re at it, scroll through our photo gallery of the gig.
